MEET YOUR THERAPISTS

MELISSA ERICKSEN

Owner & Licensed Massage Therapist

My spouse lived with chronic back pain after fracturing his lumbar vertebrae, and after years of limited relief, one session with a therapist trained in structural work and corrective movement changed everything. Watching his pain decrease and mobility return showed me what was possible and sparked my desire to help others experience the same progress. I enrolled at ZMC, graduated at the top of my class, and developed a deep passion for anatomy, physiology, and structural massage. I continued advanced training with leaders including Dr. Erik Dalton, Ph.D., James Walsawski, and Allison of Rebel Massage. Our focus is reducing pain and tension, improving mobility, and supporting recovery, while prioritizing clear communication, consent, and thoughtful, respectful care in every session.

LESLIE MCLELLAN

Licensed Massage Therapist

I came to massage therapy in 2018 looking for a way to help people and quickly fell in love with how much it improved my own well-being. I was drawn to Sagebrush for its medical and structural focus and the opportunity to work with clients on a deeper level. Each session is tailored to your goals, blending neuromuscular, Swedish, and sports massage with gentle stretching when helpful to improve sleep, mobility, and long-term maintenance. I begin by discussing current concerns, past injuries or treatments, and range of motion, then explain how we’ll use your session time. Outside of work, I’m a mom of four, homeschool my younger three, and enjoy nature, reading, and creating art.

ALYSSA SHROUT

Licensed Massage Therapist

I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their bodies and trust the signals they’re designed to give. I love working at Sagebrush Massage Therapy because our care is client-centered, education-focused, and genuinely supportive, and my goal is to help you return to wellness while connecting you with the right specialty when needed. I specialize in myofascial release and craniosacral work, using sustained, gentle pressure to restore natural tissue mobility, ease chronic pain, and improve hydration and movement. Each session begins with a brief intake, clear explanations of what I’m noticing, and simple tools to support progress between visits. Outside the office, I enjoy hiking, mountain life, caring for my bunnies, time with my four kids, and studying psychology and brain plasticity.

Shayla Thompson

Acupuncturist

After earning a degree in Psychology, I realized I wanted additional tools to help people struggling with chronic pain and nervous system dysregulation, which led me to pursue Traditional Chinese Medicine and become an acupuncturist. I love working at Sagebrush Massage Therapy because of our collaborative approach to care and the ability to offer clients multiple paths to healing in one supportive environment. I specialize in Dynamic Acupuncture, a trauma-informed style I developed that emphasizes personalization, education, and listening to the body’s unique feedback. Each session includes a thorough discussion of your concerns and health history, along with individualized treatment designed to support pain relief, nervous system regulation, and long-term wellness. My goal is to help clients sleep better, experience less pain, and feel more confident caring for their health between visits. Outside of work, I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, reading, writing, traveling, live music, dancing, and finding creativity in everyday life.

Katie Wright

Licensed Massage Therapist

I’ve been drawn to massage therapy since I was young, when I would practice reflexology on anyone willing to let me. What I love most about this work is seeing how the body can heal when we work with it rather than against it. I enjoy being part of the team at Sagebrush Massage Therapy because of our professional, medically focused approach and commitment to helping clients achieve lasting results. I specialize in gua sha and trigger point therapy, which I use to help relieve chronic tension, reduce pain and inflammation, and improve mobility. Each session is tailored to your needs and may include stretching, trigger point work, cupping, or gua sha to address pain, tightness, headaches, and restricted movement. My goal is to help you feel better after every session and support your body’s natural healing process. Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, hiking, and spending time with friends.
